Cabin battery banks

5 picks compared, with specs, filters and a calculator to find the right size.

The battery bank stores your solar power for nights and cloudy days. Lithium (LiFePO4) lets you use most of its capacity and lasts thousands of cycles. In an unheated cabin, pick one with low-temperature charge protection or a built-in heater, because charging lithium below 32 °F damages it. Bigger cabins often move to 24 or 48 V to cut the current and wire size. Our cabin solar and battery sizer works out how much you need.
